Wow. (I can’t believe I forgot to write about the Dallas omphalabyrinth.)
July 25, 2008
This post is kind of like the sock that falls behind the dryer. It lies there, forlorn and collecting dust, til you remember you dropped it. But it’s still kinda grungy when you pull it out.
On July 2, I drove the omphalabyrinth laid out in this post, creating an omphalos knot with a strength of 17.82. All told, it took about two hours, and it was nice to have a chance to check out that neighborhood.
After I submitted the Trackstick data, Eli Hunt wrote back with this reply, which I really love:
“First, I must say, this is a tremendous omphalabyrinth. I have used that word to describe omphalabyrinths before, and I find myself at a loss to come up with a stronger word to describe my feelings when I view this KMZ data. It is MOST tremendous. It is a supreme omphalabyrinth. Do you not find that you also have feelings of awe and pride stirred in your heart when you view these wondrous paths created by yourself and our allies? I do not feel free to speak this way with everyone, but I believe you will understand.”
Did I mention that I love Eli Hunt’s emails?
